This Privacy Policy explains how EVENTSO PTY LTD (ACN 700 352 674, ABN 41 700 352 674) (“Eventso”, “we”, “us”) collects, uses, discloses and protects your personal information when you use the Eventso website and ticketing services (the “Platform”). We handle personal information in accordance with the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs) under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).

1. Information we collect

Buyers / attendees: your name, email address, phone number, and the details of tickets you purchase.
Organisers & staff: account details such as name, email, business/store information, and payout details you provide to our payment processor.
Payment information: card and payment details are collected and processed directly by Stripe. We do not store your full card number.
Technical data: IP address, browser type, device and usage information, and cookies/session identifiers needed to operate the Platform and keep it secure.

2. How we use your information

To create and manage accounts, process ticket purchases, and issue tickets;
To facilitate payments, refunds and payouts to organisers;
To send transactional messages (order confirmations, tickets, event updates) where email is enabled;
To provide event organisers with attendee information for events they run;
To detect, prevent and respond to fraud, abuse and security incidents;
To comply with our legal obligations and enforce our terms.

3. Payments

Payments are processed by Stripe (including Stripe Connect for organiser payouts). Your use of payment features is also subject to Stripe’s terms and privacy policy. We receive limited information about your transaction (such as amount, status and the last digits of your card) but not your full card details.

4. Disclosure of your information

We may disclose your personal information to: (a) the event organiser whose event you purchase tickets to; (b) service providers who help us operate the Platform, including Stripe (payments), Cloudflare (bot protection), and email delivery providers; and (c) government, regulatory or law-enforcement bodies where required or permitted by law. We do not sell your personal information.

5. Cookies

We use essential cookies and session storage to keep you signed in, protect forms (CSRF), and secure sign-in. You can control cookies through your browser, though some features may not work without them.

6. Data security & retention

We take reasonable steps to protect your information, including encryption in transit, hashed passwords and access controls. We retain personal information for as long as necessary to provide the Platform, meet legal and accounting obligations, and resolve disputes.

7. Your rights

You may request access to, or correction of, the personal information we hold about you, and may ask us to delete it where we are not required to retain it. To make a request, contact us at support@eventso.com.au. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC).

8. Children

The Platform is not directed to children under 15, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information without parental involvement.

9. Overseas disclosure

Some of our service providers (such as Stripe and Cloudflare) may store or process data outside Australia. Where this occurs, we take reasonable steps to ensure your information is handled consistently with the APPs.

We may update this policy from time to time. The “last updated” date above reflects the latest revision.
